In pictures: new WTI concept by Huisman

Marine contractors Huisman and Siemens Gamesa have joined technological forces to come up with a solution to stabilise wind turbine components during installation. The firms have combined Huisman’s heavy construction design and manufacturing expertise with Siemens Gamesa’s wind turbine knowhow to come up with a Travelling Load Stabilising System, which they claim enables installations to be carried out in adverse weather conditions, thus reducing the downtime that is often a delaying factor in such projects.
