Rosen wins landmark UK carbon capture contract

The Liverpool Bay CCUS project, which will be operated by Eni, aims to cut carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions across North West England and North Wales by 25% and deliver low-carbon hydrogen for industrial, transport and domestic use.

Net-zero drive

As part of the national drive toward net-zero, the initiative will repurpose existing pipeline infrastructure and develop new systems to safely capture, transport and store CO₂.

Under the contract, Rosen (UK) Ltd will carry out extensive design verification of CO₂ pipelines, helping the client reengineer assets for long-term carbon storage.

Their work supports a critical phase in the UK’s transition to a low-carbon economy and will help open the door to future collaboration on similar hydrogen and marine civils projects.
