The UK’s Shoreham Port has two sea-locks, the Prince George and Prince Phillip, which ensure the level in the basin is maintained while allowing sea traffic in and out of the port.

The inconspicuous unit does the job of monitoring water levels so the gates of the Prince Phillip lock remain undamaged
