Coastal Surveillance and VTS Antennas
Atlas Elektronic GmbH has selected Easat to supply parabolic reflector antennas for the Kuwait Sea Surveillance project. The contract to supply a 5.5m reflector antenna builds upon other recent successes supplying antennas for a coastal surveillance system in Estonia as well as elsewhere in Europe and in Asia.
The Tideland package includes two 8m pedestals with solar powered MLED-120E lanterns and daymarks, three mains powered MLED-120 lanterns on 3m pedestals and one mains powered ML-300 sector light, also on a 3m pedestal.
Easat has recently introduced a printed linear array range of antennas for coastal surveillance and VTS applications. Operating in marine and port X-band frequencies, the antenna uses techniques developed from cellular radio technology together with RF performance, compact size and low weight.<$>The antenna provides azimuth resolution of about 0.31º, whilst transmitting both long and short pulses. The short pulse capability of<40ns enables excellent resolution on very short range targets.<$>The EA7401 antenna offers inverse cosec/ elevation beam shaping, thereby enabling both long and short range targets to be detected from the horizon to -40º below the horizon.
