Sealite starts buoy production in the UK

Australia based navaids manufacturer Sealite Pty Ltd has introduced its new Trident-2600 Ocean Buoy, the first Sealite buoy to be built in the United Kingdom.

The Trident-2600 can be supplied with Sealite LED lanterns and monitoring configurations such as AIS or GSM

The new Trident-2600 is part of the popular family of Sealite Trident buoys.

After much consultation with local clients, the Trident-2600 was specifically designed to sit flat, securely and upright on the vessel deck by its skirt style design with tie-off points. These features also provide for safe and easy handling. The float section of the Trident-2600 is built from four rotationally moulded quadrants which fasten together to form a robust 2.6m wide float section.

A galvanised steel mooring post runs through the centre of the assembly, while the enhanced polyethylene tower design and day panelling provide a huge visual area for navaid recognition.

Available to the UK and European market, the Trident-2600 can be conveniently packed into a container for fast shipping and can be supplied with Sealite LED lanterns and monitoring configurations such as AIS or GSM.

Sealite CEO Chris Procter said: “The Trident buoy is one of the most popular shapes in our portfolio. It’s exciting to give our European customers greater access to this range through local production.’

The new Trident 2600 is available through Aids to Navigation specialist, Pelangi International Ltd, a wholly owned Sealite subsidiary.
