Port of LA CAAPs Air Pollution
The Port of Los Angeles in California USA andthe local South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) are partnering ona demonstration project to use electrically powered tractors to tow cargocontainers from the Port to local warehouses and rail yards. The $527,000initiative, funded by the Port and AQMD, will explore the feasibility ofreplacing diesel powered tractors with ultra-clean electrically powered units.
