Environmental impact is of concern to most of us and Maricer has therefore made it a priority to source components which are made wherever possible from recycled products whilst maintaining the highest quality and specification.

The company supplied 700mm blue pedestals incorporating 16A card metered outlets and brass bib taps for 50 berths at Diglis Basin. The internal spine is made from recycled polyethylene and the lid is recycled polycarbonate, products which can be recycled again and again.

British Waterways Marinas were also keen to save on energy costs as well as considering the environmental impact. The decision was taken to install illuminated pedestals incorporating an energy efficient LED fitting controlled by and they also chose emergency light battery back-up facilities at particular berth positions for increased safety.
