Milford Docks investment receives go-ahead

The Port of Milford Haven has been developing extensive investment plans for two years now, aimed at driving the longer-term growth of the commercial business at the port, including attracting interest from the fast growing renewable energy industry.

Improving Milford Marina and Docks is part of the plan and the work involves new gates set inside the existing lock to allow improved access for marina and inshore fishing customers. This will significantly reduce the locking times and provide an increased number of locks within any 12 hour period.

The Dock Lock development is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government to encourage tourism along the Welsh coastline.
