Public inquiry to be held into Great Yarmouth Harbour Revision Order
The Marine Management Organisation (MMO) in the UK has decided to call a public inquiry to consider an application for a harbour revision order (HRO) for Great Yarmouth.
The MMO has written to the Planning Inspectorate to request an inspector be appointed to hold the inquiry, which will focus specifically on the HRO application.
The inquiry is being held as it is felt the case will benefit from a full independent examination of available evidence. Following the inquiry the inspector will consider all the evidence and provide recommendations to the MMO. These recommendations will inform the MMO’s decision on the HRO application. Although not yet arranged, it is expected the inquiry will take place in spring 2013.
