Barrus grows its marine equipment division
Three new appointments have been announced within Barrus’s marine equipment division to support its growth in this area.
Jason Slingo takes up the role of business development manager. Agnieszka Borysiuk has been appointed to the role of demand and forecast planner. Mike Hall has also joined the company as product procurement and integration manager.
“These three key appointments further strengthen our dedicated Marine Equipment Team and show our commitment to providing our customers with the most comprehensive portfolio of market-leading brands and products in the industry,“ said Ben Allen, general manager of the marine leisure division at Barrus.
Mr Slingo’s background is in design and project engineering and he spent ten years with Aquafax as business development manager. Managing and supporting OEM accounts, he will provide sales support to SailForce, Barrus’s national sales partner, in addition to further developing business within existing OEM and key accounts.
Ms Borysiuk comes from a background of spare parts planning within the automotive industry starting as a spare parts coordinator and moving up to inventory planner. She will be utilising this experience to set up a dedicated system for marine equipment, monitoring sales and current market trends, and enabling the company to make more informed and accurate decisions.
Mr Hall brings a wealth of experience spanning 25 years, including the role of head of sales within one of the UK’s largest marine distributors, Simpson Lawrence. He is a founder partner of SailForce.
