LeeSan Gets Pumped Up for seawork
seawork2003 exhibitor Lee Sanitation has provided pump out facilities for a just completed new marina basin at Apsley Mill on the Grand Union Canal at Hemel Hempstead.
Warwickshire based LeeSan have developed a range of pumping systems to suit marinas of all types and sizes, from small inland boatyards to tidal saltwater applications.
Access to the Apsley Mill marina is via a lifting bridge worked by a BW key. The same key also accesses the pump out unit’s control panel via a sliding door and enables the user to go through the programme of pump out and rinse out. After use the panel slides shut protecting the unit from vandalism.
LeeSan have used the experience gained over years of working on UK inland waterways, where pumping out waste tanks is a fact of life, to ensure their units are powerful and rugged enough to withstand constant use. The company is continually developing deck fittings and matching probes which meet new standards and ensure a good operating vacuum due to correct fitting and built-in seals.
The Apsley Mill marina is fitted with several individual pump out bollards, each connected back to the main unit and allowing boats to access the service from several locations.
