Protector RIBs provide SailGP support
Seawork exhibitor Protector will play a key role when SailGP returns to Portsmouth on 19 – 20 July.
The company’s Protector Chase 330 RIBs will be operating as official chase boats during the high-speed action on the Solent on England’s south coast.
Built for performance and reliability, the Protector Chase 330 is a 10.5-metre centre console RIB known for its stability and durability in demanding marine conditions.
The boats feature deep-V hull and heavy-duty Hypalon tubes giving a stable ride and allowing support crews to maintain close proximity to the racing teams in a variety of sea states. The design includes a full-sized Bimini top and protective front screen, along with large fore and aft deck areas to accommodate crew and equipment.
Adaptability is a key feature with flexible seating and deck configurations, and its transport-friendly dimensions allow it to be shipped in a standard 40ft container.
Powered by a twin outboard setup, the RIB reaches speeds of over 50 knots, supported by a large fuel capacity that ensures extended operational range. These specifications make it a capable and efficient workboat for professional use, including race support, patrol or offshore operations.
