Romein Group expands with new nearshore division
The Romein Group has expanded its portfolio with a near-shore division, De Romein Nearshore, through the acquisition of a family-run company based in Lisburn, Ireland.
In collaboration with its French counterparts at De Romein SASU, De Romein Nearshore is currently executing the landfall project for the RTE wind farm in Fécamp, France, on behalf of its client, Prysmian.
The Fécamp project involves several critical tasks, including ballasting and finishing powerlines, and repairing the quay and harbour channel.
These operations are being conducted in a bustling port environment, necessitating a high level of precision, safety, and attention to detail.
De Romein ‘s dedicated and skilled staff are committed to ensuring that the port of Fécamp is restored to its original condition upon project completion in a few months.
De Romein Nearshore is set to undertake additional nearshore projects for Prysmian across France, Germany and the United Kingdom. These projects are part of the company’s ongoing commitment to support the energy transition within Europe.
