Red7Marine jacking up business at Seawork

Chairman Mike Jones and managing director Nick Offord also report the recent purchase of a further three C5 demountable jack-up barges from Carillion Marine

and Seajack 3. Also new are four additional classed flat top barges

including a Kobelco 175t crawler crane which moves R7M even further forward in the specialist diving and marine construction sector.

R7M currently offer for charter four jack-up barges

five classed spud leg/anchor barges measuring from 42m x 17m down to 30m x 11m

plus the dive barge Haven Seabreeze

a 33m x 11m multicat type vessel currently being upgraded on the company’s own 300t slipway at Ipswich UK.

Typical of projects in which Red7Marine is involved is the Gunfleet Offshore Wind Farm

where the company has been contracted to supply three air diving/deployment systems

an offshore recompression facility

two 6 man dive teams

the 30m x 18m barge Haven Seaforth

and the fast response dive vessel Skua. Red7Marine is also providing associated barge masters as well as vessel/crane operators and riggers. The project is underway and diving works are on track for completion this month.

In recognition of it’s offshore capabilities

Red7Marine has also been awarded a prestigious contract award by Fluor for the design and build of bespoke monopile craneage systems

the provision of underwater training and a test facility plus the installation of initially 84 J tubes for what will be the worlds largest offshore wind farm at Greater Gabbard

which will have 140 turbines.

Red7Marine is preparing to undertake research and development of the cable ducts

,

including the specialist installation davits that will sit on top of the foundation piles as temporary static craneage. The wind farm will be located around two sand banks known as Inner Gabbard and The Galloper in the North Sea and is the first to be situated in international waters.

Due to the remote site and water depths of up to 34m

,

R7M will utilise the 82m DP2 OSV vessel Relume to support main diving operations on a 24hr basis. The vessel will be fitted with a bespoke Nitrox diving system

,

consisting of two dive control/compression chambers

,

deployment systems

,

divers’ hot water and hydraulic systems

,

to be constructed in the latest offshore specification 12079 containers

,

as are now required for offshore transportation.
