Subsea 3D visualisation specialist Coda Octopus has announced that it has launched what it has called its ‘Knowledge Transfer Centre’ (KTC).
The purpose of the KTC is to transfer to customers and industry partners Coda’s longstanding, extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of real time 3D visualisation for projects ranging from subsea asset placements and maintenance, windfarm cable installations, complex volumetric mapping, scour detection, real time monitoring, and change detection.
The KTC is staffed by Coda’s global team of Business Solutions Advisors (all qualified hydrographic surveyors) and will provide blocks of training specifically designed for Coda customer’s offshore personnel in the use of real time 3D sonar and accompanying software. The KTC will also work with customers to help them to design and plan their projects using real time 3D technology including in the planning phase, on-shore simulation of these projects and deliverables.
The KTC which will operate mainly from two centres (Edinburgh, UK and Lakeland, USA) and will benefit from the company’s newly acquired R&D facilities which are fitted with test tanks suitable for acoustic testing.
