Major tug deal?
News has emerged of the potential sale of six tugs from Harms Bergung Transport & Heavylift to ALP Maritime, part of Teekay Offshore.
The sale was reported in Teekay’s Third Quarter 2014 Results. On the same day however Harms issued a press release stating they have been made aware of the press release, adding: “… Harms Bergung Transport & Heavylift has commenced legal action claiming damages against the respective KGs and is seeking to have the shareholders’ resolutions set aside.”
A press release from ALP Maritime Services stated they were pleased to announce that the company had entered into a purchase agreement to acquire the six tugs. It is clearly a story that the T&T column will be returning to.
