UNV Add Azimuthing Sterndrive Tugs to Their Range

Following hard on the heels of a very successful series of Voith tractor tugs Spanish shipbuilder Union Naval Valencia SA (UNV) has completed the first tugs of a new azimuthing Stern drive (ASD) design. Named CMM Veracruz and CMM Cordoba they were delivered earlier this year to CM Mexicana, of Mexico. UNVs extensive order book includes four further vessels of the same type, two for Mexican owners and two for Spain. All four are scheduled for delivery next year. At the time of writing the company reported eight tugs delivered so far this year and twelve on order.

CMM Veracruz is one of a new breed from UNV.
