Chartwell cements APAC footprint with CTV delivery

Pacific Radiance is an integrated offshore and marine service provider that works in offshore wind and oil and gas. It also has a shipyard for vessel repair and maintenance, fabrication and conversion.

Prosperous 6 is the first Brevity-Class CTV that Singapore-based Pacific Radiance has built, and cements a build partnership with Chartwell.

Following successful sea trials of the vessel, Pacific Radiance has committed itself to building another five. with five ordered and strong interest from offshore wind developers in Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.

“The vessel has already completed successful sea trials, achieving more than 25 knots at 85% engine load, which demonstrates that it is highly fuel efficient,” said Chartwell.

“During a bollard push test, the vessel delivered more than 17 tonnes of bollard push, and when operating at 20 knots, the vessel used approximately 20% less fuel than competitor vessels of an equivalent length. She also features a light lightship displacement, enabling payloads of up to 35 tonnes.”

Chartwell Marine has specifically adapted the CTV for the APAC offshore wind industry, ensuring she is loadline compliant and has large superstructures to support multiple crews and technicians.
