The Netherlands based International Association of Dredging Companies has decided to promote the industry''s vital role in the global sustainability transition and its contribution to solutions for sustainability challenges.
At the IADC's 2020 Annual General Meeting IADC members, all contractors in the private dredging industry, together with the newly established Sustainability Committee, looked at the Association's role is promoting sustainability to the widest possible audience. Possible activities that could be undertaken to achieve these objectives were discussed. The meeting focussed on four sustainability topics: Added Value in the Dredging Industry to Society in General; Nature-based Solutions; Green Finance; and Carbon Neutrality.
