Shallow Survey 2015
Expressions of interest are sought from appropriate equipment manufacturers and suppliers for contributions to a Common Data Set collection, to be used as a focal point at the 7th International Conference on High Resolution Surveys in Shallow Water at Plymouth University from 14-18 September next year.
It is expected to attract over 200 delegates from leading commercial and government organisations around the world.
Jointly convened by the UK Hydrographic Office and the Maritime Coastguard Agency, proceedings feature consideration of a uniform Data Set comprising an amalgam of different surveys completed this summer by a range of equipment types and models over the same area of seabed within the natural harbour of Plymouth Sound.
Participants will be able to use vessels from both the Royal Navy and Plymouth University in five day slots for vessel mounted systems while acquisition of data using other survey platforms such as AUVs and aircraft will also be welcome.
