UK marine safety specialist, Survitec Group, unveiled a duo of new product ranges at Seawork International.

The Southampton-based company introduced the latest addition to the Crewsaver immersion suit series, the Crew Endurance Plus, together with the Crewsaver Workvest range, a pioneering trio of single chamber lifejackets.

Immersion suit

The Crew Endurance Plus builds on the success of the classic Crewsaver Immersion Suit and now includes a removable 40mm nylon lifting strop harness with stainless steel D-ring as standard.

The suit features a double layer glove system comprising latex gloves overlaid with flame retardant neoprene for increased insulation and protection. Also included are many popular features found throughout the Crewsaver Immersion suit range namely buddy line, protective face flap and reflective tape.

Regulations for cargo ships and bulk carriers trading outside the parallels 20ºN or 20ºS have stipulated that one fully approved immersion suit or abandonment suit must be carried for each crew member. The Crew Endurance Plus immersion suit meets these requirements and is fully approved to the current MED/SOLAS regulations.

Lifejacket

Feedback has shown that many operators are finding their current lifejackets too uncomfortable to wear for periods of time. Using Fusion 3D technology, which allows the jacket to mould to the body, Crewsaver now offers companies the opportunity to purchase 3D designed lifejackets, greatly increasing the users comfort over long and continued use.

Bladder design is integral to Crewsaver lifejackets and additionally all Crewsaver lifejackets now come with a unique chin support.

The Workvest range comprises the Crewfit 275N & 150N XD, Crewfit 150N HF and Crewfit 150N. The XD lifejacket offers an modular design and a number of configurations such as cover, inflation and harness options will be available.
