Jan De Nul has ordered a new extra-large cable-laying vessel to help with installations in ever deeper waters

The 28,000 tonne hybrid Fleeming Jenkin is being built at the CMHI Haimen shipyard in Jiangsu, China and will be delivered in 2026.

Running on biofuel or green methanol, the vessel features an onboard hybrid power plant with a 2.5 MWh battery, significantly lowering CO2 emissions.
