Van Oord invests in methanol vessels

To maintain its global leadership in subsea rock installation and support the offshore energy transition, Van Oord has announced the construction of two new state-of-the-art vessels

Designed for high-capacity and sustainable operations, the ships will feature methanol-capable engines, advanced automation and substantial cargo capacity to meet rising demand for seabed intervention.

Each will have a rock-carrying capacity of 35,000 tonnes and be equipped with a DP-2 dynamic positioning system.
