Visitors to Seawork will have the opportunity to experience the performance of VIKING Life-Saving Equipment’s high-speed RHIBs during a series of on-water demonstrations.
Following demonstrations for government representatives, VIKING will host commercial customers and media aboard its VIKING Norsafe Marathon 800 and S-900 interceptor RHIBs for sea trials between Fawley and Cowes.
Built in Norway for defence, law enforcement and rapid-response operations, the six-to-eight person Marathon 800 and 12-person S-900 are designed for speed, agility and control in demanding conditions. Deep-V and stepped hull designs provide excellent seakeeping, rapid acceleration and high-performance handling.

The 8m Marathon 800 is capable of speeds exceeding 50 knots, while the 9m S-900, powered by twin Mercury SeaPro 500 outboards, can reach up to 80 knots. Demonstration runs will also showcase the effectiveness of the shock-mitigating seating fitted throughout the Marathon Series, designed to reduce impact forces by up to 70%.

VIKING manufactures up to 1,000 boats annually and recently secured a contract to supply seven high-speed vessels to the Greek Ministry of Defence.
