New online training for SAM’s ECDIS
Safebridge, the internet based simulation training specialist, has now released its E-learning courseware for training and certification on the new ECDISPILOT Basic and Platinum models.
Courseware development for Chartpilot and Multipilot models is also well advanced.
SAM Electronics was the sixth company to sign with Safebridge and now forms part of a total offering covering Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine, Transas Marine, Raytheon Anschütz and e-Globe. Further course releases will be announced shortly.
“One of the main reasons for choosing Safebridge as an additional training optionwas that their courses are not affected by availability issues since internet based training can support a scalable number of students simultaneously, explained Arne Melzer, SAM Electronics’ vice president operations. “This overcomes the inherent limitations of conventional, school-based training programs, where availability is determined by classroom capacity and the availability (for ECDIS type specific training) of manufacturer approved instructors.”
