New floating dock for Melita Marine Group
In order to improve their capacity, Melita Marine Group of Malta has purchased a new floating dock with 5,000 tonnes lifting capacity, an overall length of 102 metres, an inside width 20 metres and draft over keel blocks of 6 metres.
The dock was transported to Malta by OHT’s semi-submersible Vessel MV Eagle and has now safely arrived to Melita Marine Group’s facilities at Grand Harbour, Valetta. First docking with the 5,000 tonne dock at Malta was the 73 metre long Superyacht ‘Plan B’.
With their already existing facilities and the new acquisition, Melita Marine Group can handle yachts of up to 140 metres length. Danish brokers Klaus Heun Shipping acted as sole broker for the Buyers and the Sellers.
