Feedback shapes Chichester Harbour Patrol
First aid, customer service, towing, harbour byelaws, enforcement, administration and vessel recovery are just some of the key elements covered in the annual Chichester Harbour Patrol training taking place in the run up to the new season.
The aim of the training programme is to support the UK South Coast harbour’s ‘Encompass’ campaign, which focuses on increased support on the water and more engagement with customers and visitors, with increased patrols particularly at busy times.
This year the team will be scheduled specifically with the events calendar from Chichester Harbour Federation in mind and plans to have additional patrol RIBs on the water at certain times.
After a highly successful pilot project last season, the Patrol will also be providing more support at Emsworth, where visitors will be able meet the teams, particularly on Saturday morning.
This year’s developments are all in response to feedback from Chichester Harbour users.
