Precision training with new crane simulator
For Rotterdam based EMO, the largest transshipment terminal for coal and iron ore in Western Europe, VSTEP has created a crane simulator for preparation and training of their future and current EMO dry bulk crane operators.
EMO is one of the leading companies in the dry bulk market. Modern and multifunctional, the EMO terminal is strategically located at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam. EMO has some 400 permanent employees altogether who are responsible for a yearly turnover of €146m.
The VSTEP crane simulator incorporates high quality sound effects and visuals with true to life dynamics for crane swinging and gravity pull. The advanced collision and cargo spilling model immediately shows the consequences of improper crane operation. The crane simulator includes full crane functionality and control console for realistic loading and offloading simulation and training as well as post training review and scorekeeping.
