Record-breaking Seawork 2025 – video & review
Almost eight weeks after Seawork 2025 closed its doors on a record-breaking show, bookings for next year are already going through the roof.
Seawork 2025 marked a huge milestone for the commercial marine industry, drawing 7,832 visitors and 454 exhibitors to Southampton in June. The event brought together professionals from over 60 countries, including 36 across Europe, reinforcing its role as a central hub for the global workboat and commercial marine sector.
The exhibition featured 74 new businesses and included 28 product launches and demonstrations, highlighting advancements in maritime technology. The Training & Careers programme attracted over 300 students and apprentices exploring future opportunities in the industry.
The conference programme achieved record attendance, with 1,723 registrants participating in sessions throughout the week. Networking remained a key component, with 19 organised events, including the Seawork Awards, where 12 winners were recognised for their contributions to the sector.
Digital engagement also increased, with 215 meetings scheduled and 1,224 messages exchanged via seawork.com. A new AI chatbot responded to more than 500 visitor inquiries during the event.
Speed@Seawork, the dedicated platform for fast vessels in security, intervention, and search and rescue roles, hosted 157 delegates and featured 12 vessels in live demonstrations.
Social media activity saw notable growth, including 9,000 LinkedIn followers and high engagement across platforms. Early interest in next year’s edition is strong, with 50% of exhibitors already confirmed for 2026. The event’s app was downloaded 4,830 times, further enhancing connections across the industry.

Seawork 2026
The countdown has already begun for next year’s event. At the time of posting, there were 307 days to go before Speed will draw its delegates to the Isle of Wight on Monday, 8 June, 2026.
The main event is at the same venue – Mayflower Park, Southampton, on Tuesday 9 June until Thursday 11 June. Early booking is strongly advised – numbers are way ahead of where they were this time last year.
Exhibiting gives businesses multiple opportunities to develop international relationships in one place as well as showcase their products and services. This includes pontoon, open and shell scheme stands, waterfront space and demonstration areas, and there are also heaps of sponsorship opportunities.
