ITS 2010 Papers are published

This weighty bound volume is the largest and most complete record of an ITS event ever compiled by the organisers, the ABR Company Ltd. A record 467 delegates from 48 countries, representing every aspect of the towage and salvage industries, attended the proceedings and the associated exhibition.

This nicely produced 330 page volume, in keeping with those published following previous ITS conventions, contains not only the latest ideas and thoughts from the world’s leading players in the tugs, towage and salvage business, but also the contact details of all the participants.

The body of the book contains the full text of all 32 papers presented at the Convention, along with all of the supporting illustrations, graphs and technical drawings. Also included is a transcript of the discussion that took place following each presentation. Subjects covered by salvage and towage industry experts and representatives varied widely from environmental and liability salvage to the latest developments in ‘hybrid’ tugs. Alternative ‘Green’ propulsion technologies for use in the next generation of shiphandling vessels, is a major preoccupation for many tugowners and that was reflected in the choice of papers.

A 30 page full colour pictorial review is also included, as a record of the personalities involved and the various social events supported by various high profile sponsors. .
