JFD Global has been awarded a major contract to enhance the Polish Navy’s diving and submarine rescue capability with advanced dive safety systems.

The agreement with shipbuilder Polish PGZ Stocznia Wojenna will see JFD Global deliver a fully classed, integrated hyperbaric chamber complex for Ratownik, the Navy’s newbuild salvage and rescue vessel.

The system combines deep saturation diving and submarine rescue functions, reinforcing Poland’s growing investment in marine salvage operations and cutting-edge marine equipment.

“Combining the shipyard’s shipbuilding experience with our submarine rescue and saturation diving expertise will deliver an exceptional capability for Poland.”

Advanced dive capability

Scheduled for completion in late 2029, Ratownik will be one of the largest ships in the Polish fleet and a key asset for protecting critical underwater infrastructure in the Baltic Sea.

Its advanced diving systems will enable rapid response to disabled submarines in territorial and international waters, significantly strengthening Poland’s marine safety posture.

JFD Global’s long-standing experience managing the NATO Submarine Rescue System (NSRS) will ensure the new vessel is fully interoperable with NATO partners.

Ratownik will be equipped for fast mobilisation and global deployment, mirroring the 24/7 rescue readiness JFD maintains for the French, Norwegian and UK Navies.
