New technology hub will power marine innovation

A new multi-million-pound Technology Development Centre (TDC) has opened in Blyth, driving the next wave of renewable energy and offshore renewables innovation in the UK.

The GB£6.3 million state-of-the-art facility, launched by the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, will support research, testing and demonstration of cutting-edge technologies in offshore renewables and ocean sciences.
