Tersan Shipyard has delivered Acta Hercules, the second in a series of four Walk-to-Work (W2W) DP2 Construction Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) being built for Acta Marine at its Yalova facility in Turkey.
The vessel follows Acta Pegasus, delivered in December 2025, with two further vessels — Acta Gemini and Acta Aquarius — scheduled for delivery later in 2026.
Acta Hercules accommodates up to 135 persons and is fitted with a 3D motion-compensated SMST gangway and crane for offshore access and lifting operations. The hull is based on Ulstein’s twin X-STERN design, intended to reduce pitching and maintain operability in adverse weather.
Propulsion is provided by dual-fuel engines capable of running on marine gas oil or methanol blends, supplemented by battery energy storage. The vessel is delivered methanol-ready, in line with Acta Marine’s stated emissions reduction targets.
Tersan employs more than 4,500 people across facilities in Istanbul, Yalova, and Leirvik, Norway, and has delivered more than 150 vessels to date, primarily for Northern European clients.
Acta Pegasus, delivered in December 2025, sails under the French flag and is supporting offshore wind operations in France. Like Acta Hercules, it accommodates up to 135 persons and is equipped with a 3D motion-compensated SMST gangway, 3D-compensated crane, and methanol-ready dual-fuel engines.
