The European Commercial Marine Awards

The European Commercial Marine Awards (ECMAs), incorporating the Innovations Showcase Category Awards, attracts entries from across Europe, recognises the depth of excellence in commercial marine and celebrates the outstanding individuals and innovative companies that comprise this vibrant and productive industry sector.

The awards will take place on the opening evening of Seawork and Marine Civils - Tuesday 21 June 2022.

The ceremony is held on site at Seawork in the spectacular waterfront Golden Arrow Marine restaurant, overlooking the Seawork Marina in Mayflower Park. Following welcoming drinks and canapes, the first part of the evening will see the presentation of the coveted Innovations Showcase Awards. The second part of the evening celebrates the European Commercial Marine Awards themselves, with the presentation of six awards.

VIEW 2019 WINNERS

The Young Person’s Development Award offering young people, from 16 – 25 years of age who are currently studying to work or begin a career in the Maritime Industry, an opportunity to achieve industry recognition and a bursary to help further their career. Mercator Media is offering a bursary worth up to £850 (or equivalent value in relevant currency) to help one young maritime student, apprentice or trainee further advance their career.

Maritime Sustainability Award is awarded to a company or organisation operating within the commercial marine and workboat sector, which demonstrates outstanding focus in its environmental and sustainability efforts.

Maritime Professional of the Year Award celebrates exemplary individuals within the commercial maritime sector. The ECM awards jury makes the final decision from nominations received.

Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual operating within the commercial marine and workboat sector, who throughout their career has shown outstanding work and focus.

Marine Civils Best Project Award is presented to a company or organisation operating within the commercial marine and workboat sector, for challenges in marine civils or vessel operations. Submissions for this award could include any marine civil engineering project, from refurbishment and improvement to new build of jetty extensions, breakwaters, port & harbour development and maintenance, dredging, coastline and estuaries, including beach re profiling and replenishment, coastal flooding and sea level rise, offshore structures, underwater construction, drilling and piling, bridge inspection and repair amongst others.

New for 2022 - Green Technology Award This new award will go to the best new item of equipment, service or consumable to assist businesses in this endeavour.
